Resident host MARK OLVER introduces double headliners ROB DEERING and JENNY COLLIER.

ROB DEERING performs stand-up comedy with music, using a guitar, a loop pedal and his voice to create impressive rock and pop soundscapes – and do jokes, of course. Along with being one of the most in-demand headliners on the UK circuit, he’s toured nationally and performed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe many times since starting out in comedy in the year 2000. Rob has appeared on any number of Radio and TV shows, often using his extensive knowledge of film, popular music and… well, ‘general’; he has won Celebrity Mastermind and a comedians’ special of the Weakest Link on BBC One, for example.

JENNY COLLIER has been described as ‘a rising star’ (Evening Standard) and ‘one to watch’ (Edinburgh Evening News). She won the Laughing Horse New Act Competition and the Hobgoblin Comedy Award, placed second in the NATYS (formerly Hackney Empire New Act of the Year), and reached the finals of countless (four) other competitions. Jenny is a regular on BBC Radio Wales and has written for The News Quiz on BBC Radio 4, as well as the Huffington Post, The Independent and Glamour Magazine. She recently supported Arthur Smith on his tour of Switzerland and appeared on Jack Dee’s Helpdesk UK Tour.

MARK OLVER, widely regarded as the country’s finest compere, is our resident MC. His TV warm-up credits include The Last Leg, Have I Got News For You, Jonathan Ross, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Stand Up for the Week, The Vicar of Dibley and Deal or No Deal. He has also supported Russell Howard and Lee Mack on national tours.
